With the Prawn just behind their backs, will they make it to the other side of the field safely? Or will they perish at the hands of the Prawn? Find out by reading on!

Boris and Gus pulled the kelp out of the way, revealing the south entrance of The Shelter. They both entered slowly. What they saw shocked them. It was a futuristic bunker, with cameras showing the environment outside The Shelter. There were no windows here, for extra safety.

"Wow! This is like a stronghold!" exclaimed Boris.

"Yeah," said Gus, "we will totally make it to the other side of the field in safety!"

They proceeded further into The Shelter, seeing galleries of historical art, and the NEWS on the television. In Norg, the acronym NEWS stood for Norg's East West South. The N wasn't North because the North was considered very evil, which is exactly why Gron's stronghold is situated there.
They then came across a room with a sign at the entrance which said "Arcade" It was made out of metal and had a lot of rust on it.

"Wow, this place must be really old!" exclaimed Boris.

"No kidding, look at the amount of rust on that sign!" Gus pointed out.

"But you know what?" questioned Boris.

"Yeah, this is an arcade!" answered Gus.

"Let's play some games!" shouted both of them.

They played arcade games for several hours, like Algaeman and Vacuole Position. They were exhausted afterwards.

"Oh my Norg!" groaned Boris. "I am so tired!"

"Same here buddy," mumbled Gus.

They went off on a slow crawl towards a rest stop in The Shelter. After several minutes of walking, they found a rest stop called "Algae Heaven"

"Hey look, a free rest stop!" Boris pointed out.

"If it's free, it must be good!" said Gus, not knowing anything about free things.

They entered what appeared to be a good looking free motel.
The manager was at a desk right in front of the motel entrance.

"Hello there!" said Boris.

"Welcome to the Algae Heaven! The greatest free motel in all of The Shelter," assured the manager. "By the way, my name is Shelby."

"Why hello there Shelby," said Boris, "and this is my friend Gus."

"Your room should be right over there," Shelby pointed out.

"Thank you Shelby!" exclaimed in unison.

Boris and Gus entered the room and slept like there was no tomorrow. The next morning, they left the room, checked out of the motel, and continued walking through The Shelter.

They came across a room which seemed to resemble a cafeteria. It was one.

"Hey Gus," said Boris, "let's go eat breakfast in there."

"Yeah, I'm so hungry!" grumbled Gus.

They ate breakfast. It was full of yeast cell hash browns, and algal gum. There was also a delicious special called the "Fish Egg Delight" It was this gigantic fish egg that could serve 20 microorganisms.

"Oh wow," started Boris, "we came in here so hungry, now I'm so full."

"I know, right?" replied Gus. "That was the best breakfast I've ever had."

They continued through The Shelter and eventually saw some light ahead of them.

"Oh my Norg, is that the end?" asked Boris.

"I believe so," said Gus.

"Then let's run for it!" shouted Boris in utmost joy.

"We made it to the other side of the Great Field!" shouted Gus.

They both ran for the light. They got closer, and closer, but suddenly, part of The Shelter collapsed. The Prawn suddenly floated in.

"Oh, my, Norg," said Boris in absolute fear.

Gus shook in fear, speechless.

The Prawn snarled fearsomely.

Boris and Gus both looked at each other and back at the Prawn. They nodded their heads and ran the opposite direction of the Prawn. The Prawn trailed them in alarming speed.

"I thought I saw another exit earlier!" shouted Boris, while running.

"Great! That will save us!" exclaimed Gus, relieved.

They ran into the alternate exit. Luckily, it was too small for the Prawn to fit in.

"Yeah! We made it to the other side of the field alive!" shouted Boris.

"Yeah, oh my Norg!" gasped Gus.

They both looked at what was ahead of them. It looked like a very tall mountain. No, it WAS a very tall mountain.

"Oh fish paste!" shouted both of them.

"That looks like a pretty harsh climb," pointed out Gus.

The mountain was called Mount Norg. It was 14,354 micrometers tall. That is very, very high for our microscopic heroes! Will they make it over the mountain alive?

To be continued...
