Our two heroes have crossed the Great Field. They must now overcome an even greater challenge: climb a 14,354 millimeter tall mountain. Are they up for the challenge? Is the mountain even more dangerous than they previously thought? May the journey say for itself.
The towering mountain loomed over our heroic duo. There were numerous glaciers on Mount Norg. The mightiest of them all, however, had a name. That name was The Great Glacier of Norg. It is the largest battlefield in Norg. It is where most of the encounters with Norg's neighbor, Saikda occur. Saikda was the birthplace of the most cruel creature in the microscopic world. His name is Gron. As a young protozoa, he invaded Norg as a general with his dragon, Shuriken and burned many villages. The Saikdians have been rivals with the Norgs for many millennia. Much blood has been shed on that very glacier, Norgian and Saikdian alike. So many Norgian warriors have been killed on the glacier that a protective aura has surrounded the entire mountain. That is the exact aura that will protect Boris the Paramecium and Gus the Water Bear on this cold and dark night, or at least we hope.
"Th-th-that's The Great Glacier of Norg," said Boris.
"Why did you stutter Boris?" asked Gus.
"Haven't you heard? So many Norgian warriors have died there," said Boris.
"Oh, that's nice," Gus said sarcastically.
"Anyway, let's move on. We have no choice but to cross the glacier to get over the mountain," Boris said, already headed for the base of the glacier.
"All right, but don't rush. We could slip," warned Gus.
It was a slightly steep slope that the glacier formed, and that is why Gus had said that.
At the base of the glacier, there was a mysterious wooden ladder that was rotting.
"What the...?" Boris said to himself.
"Well, it's the only way onto the glacier, so let's climb it!" Gus said optimistically.
"All right then," Boris said nervously.
They climbed the forty millimeter ladder up onto the glacier. Afterwards, they began their ascent up Mount Norg.
As Boris and Gus were climbing, they heard an ear piercing screech. It was followed by a ghastly growl. The source didn't seem too close, so it wasn't anything to worry about. At least, not now.
"Gus?" asked Boris nervously.
"I heard it too," Gus answered.
They slowly continued climbing the rest of the ladder to the top of the glacier.
"Phew," Boris said. "That was tiring."
"No kidding," replied Gus.
"At least that's all behind us now," said Boris.
Suddenly, the ladder collapsed down to the ground. Boris and Gus felt a sudden chill down their spines.
"Well, there's no turning back now," said Gus.
They trekked across the glacier for what seemed to be six hours. They had covered nearly 5,000 millimeters.
It's been touched, I'll gradually work on it. (Not finished)
